Down in Dungeness

Dungeness, not a place I would have thought to go or had in fact even heard of until seeing one small image of a rickety old fishing boat in a magazine once.
After an extensive google search on the place we decided to head down to Kent armed with our camera kit and see what we could capture.
Ever since that day 2 years ago - we have been back a further 4 times and each time come away with something different.

Its fabulous for photography, or even just a nice place to head to with a picnic.
Right on the sea with miles and miles of shingle, each time we've been there we've felt like the place has been lost in time, even when there are other people around, its quiet and has an almost lunar landscape which is great to capture on camera.

Old un used fishing boats are left scattered around the stones to rot, along with torn fishing nets, rusting machinery and even old car parts and a tv! (sounds like a bit of a dump - but you really have to see it to believe it!)
If you go, make sure to take your camera with you!

On our first visit we took some landscape shots and when we went back a second time it was to get some unusual portraits.

Yes, these are of me and my boyfriend, but who better to experiment on than yourself and a willing other half?!

I have to admit that I got a bit addicted to this place, so I dragged my friend along on our next visit and got her involved, one of my favorite photos from our time at Dungeness:

Unfortunately on this day, after we were done with the photography we decided to go a little further down the road to Camber Sands and get an icecream.
It was here that disaster struck and my car was broken into.
Thankfully we had all the camera gear on us, but all our props from the photography and all my cds and sat nav were stolen. They did however leave my muddy walking boots.
Bit of a bitter end to an otherwise great day.

I'm thinking of going again to do another conceptual photo shoot there, so it didn't put me off going back!

Fallen Angels land in Norfolk!

Fallen Angels was a personal photographic project I had been wanting to do for AGES!
It took over a year to get everything and everyone together - but I have to say it was worth the wait!
I wanted to use my boyfriend and friends in the shoot and arranging a date that suited everyone was more difficult than it seemed!
A few months later, we were all together and set off on the 2 hour drive to the beach in Norfolk.

I had been searching for a long time for some authentic angel like wings - the ones stocked in fancy dress shops were just not doing it for me so I widened my search worldwide, eventually I found a great pair on ebay, from the USA, made with real feathers they were just what I wanted for this conceptual photo shoot!

This is my boyfriend and co partner of Eden Exposed Photography, Jmayel El-Haj, he is a graphic artist and his expertise really bring the images to life once his run them through photo shop!

The idea behind the shoot was Fallen Angels landing on Earth and not knowing where they were, all with a separate power.
We at Eden Exposed Photography, love to give our images a surreal, fantasy look and come up with something a bit different to your normal photo shoot.

The main conceptual image below is with all of the Angels together, showing off their powers, Defense, Healing and Attack:

As a photographer its great having friends who are willing to model for you!

One of my favorite images from the shoot is below, I named the image 'Levitating Defender' and I think it speaks for itself!
The model in this image is my boyfriends brother and is always up for a photo shoot which is great!

This is just a selection of the images from the day, to see more visit the Eden Exposed Photography website: www.edenexposed.com

Doing it Gangster Style

Ok...I'm back dating a bit here, I should have started this blog a while ago, but seeing as I didn't...were taking a trip back to last summer...

If i remember correctly there was about 3 possibly 4 hours of sun (i love the uk!) we made the most of it by getting Eden Exposed's first paid photo job!

The images below are taken from the Gangster themed conceptual photo shoot which we done on location in an abandoned building we found. (the boys go in first to make it less scary!)

The shot below is my favorite one from the shoot;

All weaponry is unloaded and made of plastic!

This is the last image I'm uploading on here from the Gangster Photo Shoot, if you want to see more from this shoot or other conceptual photo shoots from Eden Exposed, they can be found on my website: www.edenexposed.com

That's all from Eden Exposed Photography for now :-)
Next post coming very soon!!

Eden Exposed Photography - The first blog!

Welcome to the world of Eden Exposed Photography!

This is the first blog entry -with many more to come!

I will be updating you on our adventures and expeditions, photo shoots and projects - and anything else i can think of!

I'm going to start of by introducing myself and telling you a bit about Eden Exposed....
First things first 'Hi, i'm Sacha! and edenexposed was my idea originally.'

During my world travels my love for landscape photography blossomed into a full blown hobby. As time went on I began to combine dramatic landscapes with conceptual portraits. Like this...

When word started to spread about what I was up to, I decided to get a website made containing a gallery of all my images that were rotting away on a hard drive.

www.edenexposed.com

By the way that lady in the photo is me! And the cowboy is my boyfriend Jmayel El-haj who is also my own personal graphic artist who has now become the second half of eden exposed photography.

Having him on board has allowed us to do things like this...

We have been partners in business for just over a year and things are starting to pick up speed!

This blog will become your way of keeping up to date with our latest projects which keep getting more extreme by the day.

Follow us on facebook and twitter and become a fan of Eden Exposed Photography.

Bye!
